Historic England’s new Carbon Reduction Training for the Heritage Sector is open for workshop bookings today!

Having previously run a wide variety of forward-looking carbon literacy workshops and webinars – including their fantastic resources linked here – Historic England are now launching a new suite of workshops and webinars which move organisations on to the next stage: not only understanding your carbon footprint, but also now looking for ways to reduce carbon emissions.

Previous Participant Testimonial: “I think the content of the course will really help the sector get started on this and I am looking forward to the next session.”

You or your organisation may have previously done Historic England’s Heritage Carbon Literacy training but now want to take your organisation’s commitment further.

So, what is carbon reduction all about?

Carbon reduction is the aim to reduce carbon emissions, which can be done on an individual, organisational, and wider sector basis. Thinking about your carbon footprint and ways to reduce this helps ensure your organisational sustainability. It can also tie in with existing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals.

There are a huge number of easy, cheap actions your and your organisation can do to reduce carbon emissions – and Historic England’s new programme will help you identify what reductions to make, how to carry these out, and how to embed this within your longer-term governance goals.
