We are delighted to announce Martina as our part time Development and Outreach Officer for Northern Ireland.

She has been working as a Co-ordinator in a heritage project in her community in Co. Down, bringing new life to a former Church in Hilltown with the support of the Heritage Fund and the Architectural Heritage Fund.

Martina says: “I am very passionate about heritage-led regeneration particularly in rural areas, rejuvenating a community’s heritage assets in a creative way. I am looking forward to meeting the key players in the heritage sector in Northern Ireland and building relationships with members and their supporters.  This is an exciting time for the Heritage Network and I am delighted to be part of it”.

Martina is an active volunteer with her local community development and women’s group.  Previously she has worked in developing a network of independent seafood companies in Ireland and managed an oyster farm near Coney Island in Co Down. Essential Networks is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to create the position of Development and Outreach Officer for Northern Ireland.
