Delapré Abbey Preservation Trust are delighted to announce the appointment of Amanda Nicols-Polinska as their first Deputy Chief Executive – a milestone in Delapré Abbey Preservation Trust’s continued growth.

Amanda has been with the Trust since its inception and has worked closely with Chief Executive Richard Clinton since 2020, helping to steer the Abbey through an exciting period of development.

In her new role, Amanda will oversee the strategic management of business, food & beverage, operations, and major projects – including their flagship redevelopment of the 19th Century Stables into a Community Wellbeing Hub.

Amanda has already made a huge contribution to Delapré Abbey Preservation Trust’s work:

  • Building strong partnerships with education providers such as Northampton College and Moulton College.
  • Leading the insourcing and growth of their catering operations, ensuring all profits now directly support their charitable mission.
  • Championing Northamptonshire’s visitor economy through her role in the Tourism Business Network.

Steve Edmonds, Chair of Trustees, said:
“The Board has long supported the idea of a Deputy Chief Executive to provide greater capacity and resilience at a senior level. Amanda’s experience, dedication, and deep understanding of the organisation make her ideally suited to help lead us into the next phase of our growth with confidence.”

Amanda Nicols-Polinska added:
“I’m excited to step into the role of Deputy Chief Executive at Delapré Abbey and grateful for the opportunity to help drive the next stage of our growth. Having been part of the Abbey’s journey for the past decade, I’ve seen how the team, volunteers, and brilliant partnerships have brought the Abbey back to life. With the Stables project, I’m committed to strengthening and expanding our relationships so that Delapré continues to offer opportunities for the community to connect, learn, and take part.”

Alongside Amanda’s appointment, the Trust will also be recruiting a Head of Business and Head of Food & Beverage, further strengthening the leadership team for the future.

Please join Delapré Abbey  in congratulating Amanda on this well-deserved appointment as they continue their journey to preserve and share Delapré Abbey’s heritage, wellbeing, and community impact.
