Clea has over 25 years of experience in strategic leadership across complex business and charitable sectors. Currently she is serving as Regional Director for the National Trust for Scotland where she has worked for the last 8 years, specialising in both cultural and nature conservation.
Presently she is overseeing an extensive historic property and asset portfolio, alongside nature conservation and landscape management across the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, including six National Nature Reserves, 28 islands including the UK’s only UNESCO Dual World Heritage site St Kilda, designated landscape and seabird habitats, as well as 179 listed and ancient monuments.
Clea previously led the strategic development of a property portfolio for English Heritage, consisting of twenty-two historic properties which included castles, abbeys, a nuclear bunker and a pub! She ended her English Heritage tenure leading operations at Stonehenge. Previous roles have been with York Archaeological Trust, and current non-exec roles include Vice-chair of Albyn Housing Society and a member of the Strategic Advisory Board at Forestry and Land Scotland.
