Heritage Trust Network are excited to announce that over the next year we will be working in partnership with Locality to deliver ‘Heritage Toolbox’ a pilot programme of learning and skills development sessions for heritage organisations in the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The programme has been commissioned by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority as a pilot to facilitate resilience and capacity building in heritage organisations, particularly grass-roots, community-led organisations.
The programme will consist of a mix of online and in-person sessions covering a variety of topics which are intended to help heritage organisations build resilience and address knowledge and skills gaps in their organisations. There will be opportunities to take part in learning sessions and one-to-one guidance on topics such as writing funding bids, governance, volunteer development and equality, diversity and inclusion.
David Tittle, Heritage Trust Network Chief Executive said “West Yorkshire is the sort of place we love to work in, with a wealth of historic buildings, structures and landscapes but with some regeneration challenges. We can’t wait to start working with community heritage leaders there.”
An initial discovery event for potential participants will be held in Bradford on 13th February in arts venue Kala Sangam. Prospective attendees will be able to learn more about the project and programme, have a taster of the programme content and feed into a consultation of what else the programme might cover, as well as an opportunity to network with each other and hosts from Heritage Trust Network and Locality. Further details of this event can be found on the Heritage Trust Network website and Eventbrite. A second, online discovery event will be held on 27th February for anyone unable to attend the event in Bradford.
If you’d like to take part, or you know an organisation who might please book a place via Eventbrite or share details. Any queries can be sent to: admin@heritagetrustnetwork.org.uk
